The majority of homeowners don’t think about when they plan a renovation that the final design is largely dependent on the design of the interior. We provide creative approach in designing kitchens so that it can give modern look and reflect your dream style.
You meet with Jeff to discover your ideas and dreams about what you want and do a thorough inspection of your current conditions. From this first meeting we will submit to you at no cost a list of descriptions, procedures and specifications with a price based on your vision. One of our strengths of “Design Build” is we build to a budget and offer the results you want with less-expensive alternatives you might not have considered.
We produce a 3D model that shows you the plan in a way drawings just can’t. This gives you a visual of what your renovation will look like when the last coat of paint dries. We often find opportunities to improve the plans in this stage. It’s one thing to see overhead drawings of your planned project, but it’s quite another to step into it virtually. This new perspective is when we catch things that don’t look precisely like you had in mind, before they get built.
The contract engineered drawings and Permits. These are the technical schematics to get approval from the regulatory authorities. This step could cause a lot of headache without a professional with decades of experience on your side. We’ve gotten approval for all kinds of projects in all kinds of locations. We’re even able to negotiate with an HOA if necessary.
Construction begins. With other contractors, this is the part homeowners dread. We’ve had clients call our construction “painless”. Jeff and Pam stay involved throughout and the project manager will be there every day to coordinate and keep things on schedule. Whether you choose to live on site or elsewhere, we keep you in the loop the entire length of the project.
Our company handles everything we can in-house. We don’t subcontract, and we know our employees like our friends and family. A typical Bethesda Home Design worker has been with the company for a decade.
Pam’s interior design services are free to our remodeling clients. She will go to the shops with you and help you make the critical decisions that bring a home remodeling project together as well as making sure that the supply or design shops keep their pencils sharp.
The principals who talk with you about your home design will always be available to you. We keep open lines of communication before, during and after a project.
A 3D modeling of your planned renovation will give you an immersive look at what your plans really mean for your life. After interviewing a total of seven contractors, we selected EDL Remodeling for our major home renovation project. Jesus and the EDL team were highly skilled, efficient, and completed our project within tight timeline and budget constraints.
During the process of preparing a proposal for our job, Jesus took the time to have his subcontractors (plumber, hardwood floor expert) come to the house to provide quotes, rather than giving us an uninformed top-level dollar figure like other contractors. This estimation method gave us confidence that were not being overcharged and we really appreciated that Jesus took the time to provide an accurate, informed proposal.
Jesus is a skilled craftsman and offered creative design ideas for the complete renovation of our kitchen and two full bathrooms. Thanks to EDL, our house was transformed from an outdated 1950s house into a beautiful and contemporary home that we look forward to coming home to each and every day. Jesus provided all the guidance we needed as first time homeowners, and worked with us to keep the costs within our budget while completing the job in substantially less time than other contractors estimated they would require.
